Veterans' Voices is a free and ongoing writing workshop that is open to all Veterans, from any branch of service. It offers a supportive environment and the tools needed for the writing of stories, service-related or not, (fiction and nonfiction) as well as memoir, poetry, and drama.

About the Facilitator 

Mary Cook was born and raised in upstate New York. She graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in biology and from the University of Vermont with an M.A. in English. She has published poems and essays in The KokaneeEDGE, and Tahoe Blues: Short Lit on Life at the Lake. After working for several years as a development editor, copy editor, proofreader, and book designer for both academic and literary titles, Cook now instructs composition and literature courses at Lake Tahoe Community College.
