Paul Tomei, drama teacher at El Dorado High School for nineteen years, has helped nearly 3,000 students find their voices, soar with confidence and self-esteem, discover empathy and new friendships, and learn to communicate through the powerful medium of dramatic art. Students idolize him, and the productions are fun, highly professional, and some of the hottest tickets in town.

On Thursday, June 7, 2018, in the lovely setting of Boeger Winery, El Dorado Arts Council will present its annual Normadene Carpenter Award to Paul Tomei, in celebration of his passion for and commitment to teaching performing arts.
